Strengths Accelerator Academy

Thursdays at 3:00pm ET from January 22 – March 19, 2026

ACPA is excited to partner with Strengths University for the their newest program, the Strengths Accelerator Academy! Registration for the Spring 2026 Cohort is now open.

Have you wanted to create a Strengths-based team or campus, but aren’t quite sure where to start? Or maybe you did start, but after the initial excitement you weren’t quite sure what to do next, so the momentum waned. We designed this program to give you the guidance you need to transform yourself, your team, or even your entire campus into a robust Strengths-based culture.

During the Strengths Accelerator Academy you’ll:

  • Deepen your understanding of your personal Strengths, including how all 34 CliftonStrengths Talent Themes show up in your life
  • Define your authentic leadership style using your unique Strengths profile
  • Master team dynamics, including how your strengths impact collaboration, meetings, and delegation
  • Create environments that encourage greater and more authentic team involvement
  • Leverage your Strengths to better communicate and resolve conflict
  • Develop action plans for yourself, your department, and your organization
  • Build a common Strengths language that transforms team culture

The Strengths Accelerator Academy combines asynchronous learning with group and individual Success and Accountability calls to you multiple touchpoints to absorb, discuss, and implement what you’re learning. Participants in the Academy will get…

  • 8-Weeks of Online Learning Modules, including weekly worksheets and reflection prompts
  • 1-Bonus Module that reviews CliftonStrengths basics
  • 9 Group Success and Accountability Calls with your Academy cohort (60-Minutes each)
  • 1 Individual Success and Accountability Call (30-Minutes)
  • CliftonStrengths 34 Report that ranks your results for the entire 34 Talent Themes

During the Academy, you’ll dive into topics designed to transform you, your team, or your entire organization into a Strengths-based culture that will increase your productivity AND sense of wellbeing. Specifically, you’ll learn…

Week 1 | Digging Deeper

Once you have a basic understanding of your Talent Themes and how they’re impacting your life, it’s time to go deeper. You’ll break down the results of your whole CliftonStrengths 34 Report. You’ll also get a better understanding of how your Talent Themes are showing up so you can better manage them, so you can be more effective, productive, and have a better sense of wellbeing.

Week 4 | Team Dynamics

One of the most powerful ways to use CliftonStrengths is by developing a well-rounded and high-functioning team. In this module, you’ll learn how to better maximize your team’s energy by delegating and creating complementary partnerships. You’ll better understand how to use your collective Talent Themes to be more productive.

Week 2 | The 34 Talent Themes

One of the biggest obstacles for many people in implementing a Strengths-based approach is feeling overwhelmed about all the Talent Themes. In this module, you’ll learn about all 34 Talent Themes, so you’ll better understand other’s Themes and feel more comfortable having conversations about using Strengths every day.

Week 5 | Strengths-Based Communication

No matter what your goals are, if you and your team aren’t communicating well amongst yourselves, students, or other key stakeholders, you’re not going to be successful. You’ll learn how to better communicate so you can clearly set expectations, hold people accountable, and establish trust between you and the people you lead.

Week 3 | Defining Your Strengths Zone

You’ll have the opportunity to discover how your Strengths work together so you can maximize how they show up for you. You’ll create a personalized statement that will help you stay focused on your Strengths Zone. You’ll also learn about the Four Domains that will help you better focus your energy and set the stage to build more effective teams.

Week 6 | Strengths-Based Conflict Resolution

Conflict seems to be everywhere these days. Even the best teams will have conflict at some point. Unfortunately, most people aren’t comfortable with conflict and would rather put things off instead of addressing the issue. You’ll learn how to better navigate conflict yourself and be better able to mediate conflict between others.

Week 7 | Integrating Strengths Within Your Team or Organization

Another challenge many folks face is exactly how to move past the basics to truly create a Strengths-based culture. You’ll learn how to integrate Strengths into programming, advising, and during daily interactions so that it sticks. You’ll get tangible steps on how to add a Strengths-based approach with what you’re already doing.

Week 8 | Implementing Change

The last week of the Academy is focused on action. You’ll review what you’ve learned in the first seven weeks, then develop your path forward, with consideration to the specific needs of your team and organization. You’ll be able to move forward, focusing on exactly what you need to do to get the results you want.

Bonus Module | Understanding Your Strengths

We want to take your understanding to the next level during the Academy. But if it’s been awhile since you’ve covered the basics or are a beginner, we’ve got you covered. Your talents impact how you interact with the world. You’ll have immediate access to this module when you register so you can dive right in. 

Please Note: While you will not be a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach after completing this program, you WILL have a working understanding of the CliftonStrengths framework and tangible steps to implement a Strengths-based approach with your team, department, or even entire campus. 

Registration Rates

Each attendee of the Supervisor Strengths Institute must register separately, but team rates are available. Your first team member will pay full price, but each additional team member gets $100 off their registration fee! If you’re the first team member, select the full rate – either ACPA Member or Non-Member. Other members of your team should select the team rate. If you and/or your team need to pay by invoice, just use the coupon code INVOICE during checkout. You’ll be asked whether the invoice is just for you, or for your whole team.
