ACPA is pleased to launch an open call for NextGeneration Institute (NextGen) Facultyto serve on the planning teams! NextGen is a unique opportunity for approximately 125 undergraduate students from across the world to learn about ACPA, graduate preparation, functional areas, and trends in Student Affairs and Higher Education. This conference is an opportunity for the next generation of Student Affairs and Higher Education educators to meet and learn from current graduate preparation program faculty, NextGen alumni, and professionals with a variety of personal and professional experiences and identities from diverse institutional types and positions.

Interested individuals can apply to serve on the NextGen 2020 team for Nashville, the NextGen 2021 team for Long Beach, or both! The following roles are available: 

Equity and Inclusion Team Liaison
Serves as the link between the NextGen Institute Planning Team and the Annual Convention Equity and Inclusion Team. Advises NextGen Institute Team on restroom locations, access, etc. based on conversations with the Convention Team.  Time commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Lead Faculty for Alumni Relations
Coordinates outreach to NextGen Alumni to invite them to participate in the Alumni & Friends Reception. Assist in planning and program for the Alumni and Friends Reception. Recruits NextGen Alumni as needed to participate in the NextGen Institute. Time commitment: Approximately 1 hour per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Lead Faculty for Assessment
Coordinates assessment instrument for the NextGen Institute. Updates questions as needed prior to distribution. Reviews and analyzes results to provide a final report for the next year’s team. Time commitment: Approximately 30 minutes per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Entity Groups Liaison
Shares information with Entity Group leaders about ways to engage with NextGen participants, or assist with NextGen Institute programming. Serves as primary point of contact for all entity group leaders. Time commitment: Approximately 1 hour per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Lead Faculty for Curriculum Development
Oversees the design and implementation of the NextGen Institute Curriculum including large group sessions and break out sessions. Recruits presenters/sessions as needed. Provides regular updates to the Next Gen Co-Chairs on curriculum plans. Time commitment: Approximately 2 hours per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Lead Faculty for Keynotes
Oversees invitation of keynote or keynotes and serves as the primary point of contact. Coordinates with International Office on any needed contractual pieces. Serves as host for keynote(s) on site during NextGen Institute. Time commitment: Approximately 30 minutes per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Lead Faculty for Registration
Oversees communication with registered participants including welcome emails, reminders, etc. On-site, manages check in process distributing nametags, materials, etc. Time commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

Lead Faculty for Scholarships
Assists with distribution of scholarship funds and travel grant awards and communicates with participants as needed. On-site, manages check distribution process, and collects thank you notes from attendees. Coordinates distribution of thank you notes to appropriate parties. Time commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

NextGen Institute Planning Team Volunteer
General volunteer to assist with projects and tasks as needed throughout the planning process. Participates in Planning Team calls. Time commitment: Approximately 30 minutes per week. For 2020, must be on site by Saturday, February 29. 

NextGen Institute Professional On-Site Volunteer
Serves as on site volunteer only, helping with Institute logistics such as registration, sessions, etc. Time commitment: Approximately 10am on Sunday, March 1, 2020 through 4:00pm on Monday, March 2, 2020.
