Graduate Preparation Internship Program

ACPA serves as a clearinghouse of higher education internship opportunities for graduate students in all the functional areas of student affairs through our Graduate Preparation Internship Program (GPIP).

Participating higher education institutions offer internships in various functional areas of student affairs, such as, student activities, community service, orientation, assessment, programming, leadership, health and wellness, and fraternity and sorority life. Host institutions define their own unique internship opportunity based upon their institutional mission and departmental needs. The GPIP offers graduate students opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to diverse campus or association settings, gain practical experience at an organization other than the institution where they are currently studying, as well as begin to establish a network with current and future leaders in the student affairs profession.
