Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education
Since 1977 the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) has encouraged academic success by supporting the Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education. As a commission we believe that students and their academic success should receive active and effective support from student development and the academic community.
Our Vision: To inspire partnerships for learning across academic and student affairs
Our Mission: To serve as a network for those interested in enhancing student academic support services and to inform the larger community regarding issues and trends impacting academic success.
Goal: Be recognized as the premier voice and resource for student and academic affairs educators engaged in partnership programming that enhances student learning
Objectives:
- Enhance organizational stability and continuously attract effective leadership
- Develop liaisons with ACPA commissions and professional organizations
- Employ the latest technologies to facilitate marketing and outreach
- Increase quantity and insure quality of Commission sponsored programs, Exemplary programs, and Pre-Convention workshops
- Effectively market the products and services of the Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education
