Welcome to the Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education!
We began in 1977 as the Commission for Learning Centers in Higher Education; since then, we have grown in our focus to include partnerships with academic advising, living-learning programs, first-year programs, and others who view learning across academic and student affairs to be their primary functional area. As a commission we believe that students and their academic success should receive active and effective support from student development and the academic community.
Our Vision:
To inspire partnerships across academic and student affairs
Our Mission:
To serve as a network for those interested in enhancing student academic support services and to inform the larger community regarding issues and trends impacting academic success
Our Goal:
Be recognized as the premier voice and resource for student and academic affairs educators engaged in partnership programming that enhances student learning
