The Commission for Academic Affairs Administrators

The Commission for Academic Affairs Administrators provides support and professional development opportunities for individuals in higher education institutions who work in areas such as academic advising, academic actions and policies, grading systems, articulation, admission, orientation, retention, class scheduling, curriculum development, calendar planning, and recruitment.  The commission is dedicated to linking academic practices with student development in the institution. 
The goals of the Commission for Academic Affairs Administrators  are:

  • Providing a professional organization for academic administrators
  • Providing for association and communication among academic administrators
  • Strengthening higher education by focusing on the individual student and on the academic environment
  • Providing forums for the exchange of information and ideas through list serves, conferences, publications, and workshops
  • Acting as a clearinghouse to maintain currency in the field of academic administration
  • Providing a focal point for the discussion of new ideas
  • Encouraging and developing study and research pertinent to the field

 

On Friday, January 29, 2010, the Commission for Academic Affairs Administrators will sponsor the Webinar “The Student as the Client.” Registration for the Webinar closes on Friday, January 22, 2010.
