The Commission for Academic Affairs Administrators

This commission provides support and professional development opportunities for individuals in higher education institutions who function primarily as academic affairs professionals. Ultimately, the commission seeks to link academic practices with student development practices, in order to holistically educate the student. In addition to working closely with students, members of this commission interact with faculty from all disciplines and have the opportunity to engage and partner with faculty to promote holistic student development.

Our goals:

To provide a functional niche for the interests of academic affairs professionals within the student affairs dialogue

To foster collaborative relationships between academic affairs and student affairs professionals by linking academic practices with student development

To identify emerging issues within academic affairs and initiate professional development opportunities
