From The Editors
Welcome to the 2004 pre-convention edition of the CCAPS Newsletter. As the 2004 ACPA Convention in Philadelphia approaches, we grow more excited about seeing old friends and colleagues as well as meeting new ones. Therefore, this newsletter focuses on the upcoming convention and all it has to offer.
This newsletter includes a schedule of convention programs that are either sponsored by or related to the interests of the Commission for Counseling and Psychological Servcies. Take a look and make your convention plans early! Also included is information about the award that the Commission will receive at the Convention in April.
Our feature article for this edition is Twenty Better and Lesser-Known Reasons to Attend the 2004 ACPA Convention. Thanks to all of the members of the Directorate who contributed. If you are planning to attend the convention, here's a chance to get motivated. If you are not yet planning to attend, here's your chance to change your mind!
Thank you to Sue Stock-Ward for her From the Chair column, which includes information about the Philadelphia Convention, our new directorate members and her transition from Chair to Past-Chair. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Sue for her leadership and friendship over the past three years and more. The current newsletter committee would also like to thank Sue personally for her patience and guidance as we have worked to create engaging and thought-provoking newsletters for the Commission. Thank you to Jonathan Kandell and Ellen Emerson for the list of CCAPS-related convention programs. Finally, we would like to thank Jonathan Kandell again for formatting and uploading this newsletter. See you in Philly!
