Commission for Counseling and Psychological Services Award

For Outstanding Lifetime Achievement

 

 

This annual award is given to honor and reward the exemplary achievements of an individual's lifetime career contributions to the field of college and university counseling and psychological services.  The recipient will receive a plaque and certificate from the Chair of CCAPS and will be honored at ACPA’s upcoming annual convention.

 

Eligibility:  Any member of CCAPS who received their highest academic degree 20 years or more prior to nomination for the award.  Members of the CCAPS Directorate Body during their term of office, current members serving on the Awards Committee, and past awardees are ineligible for nomination.

 

Nominations for the Award are to be in the form of a nominating letter that briefly discusses the significance of the nominee's contributions to the field of counseling and psychological services on university and college campuses (e.g., scholarship/research, teaching/training, service/administration, leadership/collaboration).  The nomination letter should also be accompanied by a copy of the nominee's vita and letters of support.  No more than three (3) letters of support will be accepted.  Achievement may be cumulative or explicit and shall directly pertain to the field of counseling and psychological services on university and college campuses.  The deadline for submissions is October 3, 2005.  Please forward an electronic copy via e-mail of all of the nominations materials to:
