Commission for Wellness

Members of this Commission are committed to promoting awareness and educating a broad base of professionals in various fields, as well as students, faculty, and staff, about positive wellness lifestyle behaviors. The Commission recognizes wellness as an evolving process in which individuals participate in their personal and professional development by striving for a balance of activities in all aspects of their physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and environmental well-being.

Our Vision: To encourage Student Affairs professionals to live healthier lifestyles.

Our Mission: To provide knowledge to Student Affairs professionals encouraging healthier activities to engage in throughout the year and also at the conference.

Our Goal: To provide healthy activities for Student Affairs professionals to participate in during the conference. and throughout the year. To inform Student Affairs professionals about healthy choices.

Our Objectives:

  1. Promote and encourage participation in the Wellness Run
  2. Organize and run a stress free zone
  3. Provide a masseuse for massages
  4. Facilitate a workout session every morning
  5. Develop a website
  6. Sponsor 7 sessions during the conference that relates to Wellness initiatives
  7. Provide a Wellness Brochure to be handed out at the conference
  8. Publish a bi-annual newsletter that will be linked to the website
