The directorate is always looking for involved members! It is easy to join us and at this time no elections are necessary! ALL are encouraged to apply if you are interested in being actively involved!

Brandy Daniels serves as the Assistant Director of Housing Operations at East Carolina University.  She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University.  Brandy is extremely passionate about working with college students and helping ensure they are successful.  Brandy currently lives in Winterville, NC with her husband Roger Daniels.  In her free time, Brandy loves cooking, traveling, serving at her local church, and most importantly spending time with her family.

Audrey Adamson has been a student services professional in higher education for over twenty years and has been the Assistant Director of Student Services at Western Illinois University-QC, a 100% commuter school,  since 2012.  In this role she assists college students with their career development including resumes, interviewing and job searching.  She is also the Disability Resources coordinator and works on student retention.  Outside of work, Audrey volunteers with Girl Scouts, Moline school PTO and Booster Clubs, Dress for Success and is on the Moline-Coal Valley School Board, as well as cheering her kids on in their various activities.  She loves to connect people, lift them up and try to make the world a better place.

Meghan serves as a Coordinator in the Center for Student Engagement, working with commuter student programming at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. She is a proud graduate of both the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and Clemson University (Go Vols & Go Tigers!). Meghan was actively involved during her undergraduate experience, and as a result she developed a passion for building relationships with students in transition. These experiences jump-started her career in Student Affairs. When Meghan is not advancing the lives of students, she enjoys spending time with her family, husband John, and pup Tillman.

Mike Wacksman is currently serving as Assistant Director for Student Leadership at SUNY Cobleskill.  In a 20 year span at SUNY Cobleskill, he has served as a Residence Hall Director, Assistant Director for Residential Life and Coordinator for Brickyard Point, Residential and Communiversity Engagement.  In his role as Assistant Director for Student Leadership, he oversees Commuter Student Services.  He has many responsibilities, but working with the commuter student population remains his favorite.  He’s a proud member of ACPA and proudly serves on the directorate for the Commission for Commuter Students & Adult Learners. 

Vaughn Clay

Vaughn has worked in student affairs for over 25 years and for the past 20 has served as the Monmouth University Director of the Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services (OCCS).  His office provides support and oversight to an off campus population of approximately 800 students.  OCCS also interfaces with local community members/officials in responding to town/gown issues.  Through programming, advocacy and education, OCCS also offers assistance and guidance to a commuter student body of 4300.  A centerpiece of OCCS is the Commuter Student Mentor (CSM) program that assists incoming first-year and transfer students during summer orientation and the fall semester.  Before creating OCCS, Vaughn served as the Assistant, Associate and Interim-Director of Student Activities and Student Center Operations at Monmouth University.  In addition to his work with OCCS, Vaughn has been the primary advisor to the Monmouth University Student Government Association for the past 25 years.  When not supporting and advising the students of Monmouth University, Vaughn enjoys spending time with family and friends, being at the beach, and the occasional round of golf.
