Cabaret Save the Date Flyer

Call for Hosts

Applications are open to join the Coalition for Sexuality and Gender Identities as the host of this year's Cabaret!

No drag? No problem! You don't need to be in drag or performing to host the event, although performers are welcome to apply!

While we invite all Queer and Trans applicants, we particularly invite Queer and Trans People of Color and Trans Women and Femmes to apply.

Although there is space to share about identity generally, we do not ask for particular (dis)ability accommodations on the Cabaret application to prevent emotional labor of sharing about accommodations. When hosts are selected, they will be asked for accommodations needed to utilize the performance space.

Location

Cabaret will be hosted on-site in a host hotel space (we’ll let you know as soon as we do). The decision to be in the hotel or a local Queer bar or club was a challenging one. Ultimately, CSGI decided to remain on-site in order to best serve people with disabilities, people who do not want to be in a bar/club environment that alcohol consumption, and newcomers or first-timers who may find traveling to an off-site venue intimidating or frustrating.

Accessible Seating

Cabaret will offer accessible seating in the first two rows of the left of the stage including a number of chairs that are spread apart as well as space without chairs for those who may be using a wheelchair. Please indicate your accessibility needs when purchasing tickets so we can provide enough seating.

Substance Free Seating

Cabaret will offer substance free seating in which alcohol and other substances will not be permitted. Please indicate your substance free seating needs when purchasing tickets so we can provide enough seating.

Reserved or Tabled Seating

At Cabaret, we will not offer reserved seating or seats with tables as we have in the past. Seats with tables are available upon request to accomodate people who need them to access the event. This year, all tickets are general admission.

We welcome your feedback! You can submit anonymous or named feedback before, during, or after Cabaret HERE
