The Equity & Inclusion Committee is chaired by the Director of Equity & Inclusion. The committee assists the Association and the Director of Equity and Inclusion in dealing with issues of policy and procedures, the development and implementation of the Association's equity and inclusion plan, and scans the larger environment of the Association. Committee members will also serve as a bias incident response team and as ambassadors to the Coalitions, Communities of Practice, Commissions and State and International Divisions.
 
Purpose of the ACPA Equity & Inclusion Working Groups
  • Deepen ACPA’s capacity to infuse issues of equity and inclusion into policies, practices, programs,services, and structures
  • Develop resources and supports to deepen the capacity of ACPA members to use an Inclusion Lens in their daily work activities

​Develop resources and practices to achieve the 2013 - 2016 ACPA Strategic Plan:

  • Develop ways to increase scholarly and knowledge contributions related to social justice, equity and inclusion
  • Expand our international and domestic structures and practices to meet member needs related to social justice, equity and inclusion
  • Create partnerships that advance ACPA's core values through governmental, educational, and corporate approaches
