Special Note: In the Spring of 2007, ACPA issued its ASK Standards (Assessment Skills and Knowledge) for student affairs professionals. Developed under the leadership of the ACPA Commission for Assessment and Evaluation, the thirteen standards and three thematic clusters offer a roadmap for professional development. We are pleased and excited to offer several e-Learning courses which focus on a number of these standards.
Order the new ASK Standards Booklet, a perfect compliment to any of the e-Learning courses on assessment. The booklet is free for ACPA members.

Course Details
- All courses are three weeks in length.
- Once registered you will receive email confirmation. One week prior to the course you will receive course details including your username and password.
- All courses are conducted on-line and communication is conducted through discussion boards. As a participant you will receive weekly readings and resources to guide you through the week's discussion.
- All courses are asynchronous, which means not in real time. You can participate at your own pace according to your schedule from home or work throughout the duration of the course. There will be a structured outline for each course guiding the reading/resources, discussion boards and assignments. The more you participate, the more you will benefit from the expertise of each faculty member and your colleagues.
- Participants can expect to spend an average of 2.5 - 5 hours per week on the course. Several days away from computer access does not affect your participation or benefit; it is asynchronous which allows you to access the course information anytime during the course. It is recommended you access the course at a minimum once per week.
- Participants will be asked to complete an evaluation at the conclusion of each course.
- CEUs are available for some courses at a maximum of 1.5 credits through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). ACPA is an official NBCC provider. The CEU total is based on the expectation that a course participant will devote a maximum of 5 hours per week (3 weeks total) to the assignments and projects. The CEU credits are available to licensed counselors. Please contact the ACPA International Office about course eligibility. Download and complete the CEU form and send it for signature to ACPA: Word Document | PDF
- Course Access: You will need to have access to a computer that can connect to the internet at a relatively high speed, through a phone or cable modem, DSL, or T1 line.
- All participants will receive a certificate of completion from ACPA.
