April 2008
Dear Members and Guests:
On behalf of all the members of the Directorate, I wanted to thank everyone who helped make the 2008 ACPA Conference in Atlanta such a success.
I do not know where to begin. On Saturday, we had our dinner out where we had over 50 people in attendance. While it did rain outside, we had a great time inside talking and reconnecting with many old and new friends.
Our silent auction is still going on. We have some fabulous speakers still that on can bid on for presentations on your campus.
We would like to congratulate again John Fox, Dr. Kristen Renn, Chase Catalano, and Michael Brown. These four individuals will be recognized at this conference for their commitment to not only the Standing Committee but also to the LGBT community.
As always, we encourage individuals to get involved with the Standing Committee. We are always seeking volunteers and feedback so that we can continue to make the Standing Committee a valuable resource to our members. We would like to seek feedback on how to improve the website. If you have information or a link that you feel would be valuable for our members, please feel free to send that to me and I will work on getting that information on our website.
The Standing Committee Directorate is here to serve and help our members and the members of ACPA. I hope that you will take some time to get involved and make not only our Standing Committee but ACPA a better place for everyone!
Sincerely,
Claire Williams
