The Latin@ Network of the American College Personnel Association's (ACPA) Standing Committee for Multicultural Affairs (CMA) will be recognizing David Ortiz for his outstanding contribution to the Latin@ Network and his work in higher education.
David Ortiz is currently completing his doctorate in Indiana University and currently serves as co-chair for ACPA's Standing Committee for Multicultural Affairs.
He was selected for his outstanding leadership within ACPA, his own community as well as his academic accomplishments. Dr. John Hernandez writes of David, " Mr. Ortiz exemplifies the attributes that are sought out by this award: he has demonstrated commitment and effective leadership to the Latin@ Network and to CMA respectively; he has been an outstanding practitioner; and he has served as a role model for Latino professionals."
