We are proud to announce that the 2011 MCPA Fall Conference will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at Loyola University Maryland, Columbia Campus. This year's conference will provide higher education professionals and graduate students a wonderful opportunity to discuss and learn from each other while not only showcasing the ACPA East Coast Graduate Fair, but also featuring a specific undergraduate program track!

ACPA EAST COAST GRADUATE FAIR
Through a renewed partnership with ACPA – College Student Educators International, the conference committee will again host the ACPA East Coast Undergraduate Student Affairs Day, a full conference experience geared toward undergraduate students interested in careers in student affairs complete with educational program offerings, a graduate programs fair, a special keynote speaker, and opportunities to learn from current student affairs scholar-practitioners.

LOCATION
Loyola University Maryland, Columbia Campus is located at 8890 McGaw Road, Columbia, Maryland 21045. The Columbus Campus houses the Graduate Center for Loyola University Maryland.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
Registration will open for this conference on Monday, August 8, 2011. All registration costs will be verified by the time registration opens.
2011 RECOGNITION AWARDS
Starting Monday, August 8, 2011, you will be able to nominate your friends, colleagues and amazing professionals for several great awards. Award recipients will be announced at this conference. You should also have your colleagues nominate you for one of these awards! Learn more about these awards today!
UNDERGRADUATE CASE STUDY CHALLENGE
Undergraduate Attendees at this conference have the opportunity to enter the Undergraduate Case Study Challenge.
There are two easy ways to register and registration closes Friday, October 15th:
- Register online when you register for the conference
- E-mail our Case Study coordinator (to be announced soon) with your name, the name of your case study partner, and the name of your institution.
You must compete in teams of two. Each team must prepare a 5-7 minute response to the case study. The case study will be e-mailed to each team on Friday, October 22nd. You will present your oral response to a panel of Student Affairs professionals during the Fall Conference (Participants must be registered for the conference.) You will have access to computer/projector if needed. After your presentation, there will be 3-5 minutes reserved for questions from the panel.
You will be judged on the following criteria:
- Creativity of your solution(s) (20 pts)
- Expected effectiveness of your solution(s) (20 pts)
- The extent to which you have accurately addressed all of the issues present in the case study (20 pts)
- The extent to which you have identified the stakeholders and all those affected in the case (20 pts)
- Ability to clearly articulate your thoughts and provide a persuasive argument for your response (10 pts)
- Evidence of active teamwork between you and your partner (5 pts)
- Ability to present your case within the 5-7 minute time range (5 pts)
