Call for Nominations!

The annual election of the Maryland College Personnel Association’s Executive Board will be held March 1-19, 2010. The election results will be posted shortly thereafter.

All MCPA members are encouraged to use the online form (below) to nominate themselves or others for these open positions.

Elected board members must:

  • Be a member in good standing of MCPA and ACPA
  • Serve a two-year term, with the exception of the President-Elect
  • Not be a candidate to succeed him/herself in an MCPA office to which he/she has been elected by the membership
  • Take office on May 1, 2010
  • Be in attendance at the four Board meetings (June, August, October, & February) in addition to monthly conference-calls.
  • Be in attendance at a minimum of two MCPA events and the annual MCPA conference

The positions open for nominations are:

President Elect – This person will serve as President-Elect in 2010-11, President in 2011-12, and Past President in 2012-13. As President this person will preside over all meetings of the organization, provide leadership in association activities, and be the representative of MCPA in all ACPA business.

Secretary – This person will be responsible for attending Executive Board meetings and compiling meeting minutes for the membership. The Secretary will also update position descriptions and collect association archive information throughout the year.

(4) Member-At-Large – These individuals provide support services to the Association by coordinating one MCPA event (e.g., programmatic, professional development, networking and membership activities) each year during their two-year term.
