Welcome to the Minnesota College Personnel Association (MCPA) website!  For the past forty years MCPA has served student affairs professionals and the higher education community in the great state of Minnesota.

There are many ways to get involved with our organization and take advantage of the variety of professional development opportunities that we sponsor each year.  These opportunities include our annual fall conference (October 15-16, 2009 at Minneapolis Community & Technical College), 4 drive-in workshops centered around specific topics, weekly job postings, networking, and constituent meetings and events (commissions, graduate students, etc.).

As a member you have access to our listserv, as well as periodic “Presidential E-blasts” that will keep you up to date on the latest MCPA happenings.  As a state division of our parent organization, the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), you may register for membership for both organizations through our dual membership program located here on our website.

I am proud to serve as your state president for the 2009-2010 academic year.  I invite your feedback, ideas and most importantly, your active involvement.  If you should have any questions, or are new to MN and/or the profession, please do not hesitate to contact us!

I look forward to celebrating our 40th Anniversary with you at our Fall Conference on October 15-16th!

Warmest Regards,

Dara Hagen

MCPA President
