The Missouri College Personnel Association has developed the following
awards to recognize individuals and programs that have made noteworthy
contributions to the student affairs field and the success of their
students, staffs, and institutions. Please take a moment to consider
nominating a colleague for one of these awards.
Richard Caple: Awarded for significant contributions to
research and practice in student affairs and/or the state
association. It is open to students, faculty, and student
affairs professionals in the state of Missouri.

Professional: Awarded for significant contributions to
student personnel work in higher education, either through
specific accomplishments or through long-term meritorious
service. The award(s) may be presented for contributions to
professional policy and practice or for contribution to the
professional body of knowledge.

New Professional: Awarded to an individual with three years or
less of experience n the profession, who serves as a role model
to students and professionals, demonstrating creativity and
innovation in the field with the potential for continued
success.

Stephen Petersen Graduate Student:
Awarded for outstanding performance in his/her graduate program,
having thus contributed to the well being of students at her/his
college or university and the student affairs profession in
general through dedicated effort and commitment to learning.

Innovative
Program:
Awarded to outstanding student affairs programs in Missouri
higher education which demonstrate innovative practices and
produce quality results in student learning, development,
engagement, satisfaction, and/or organizational performance.
Programs receiving this award are to be role models for student
affairs practice in Missouri.
