Description: As colleges and universities begin to release plans for re-opening, remote operation, and everything in between, some of the most important questions and considerations related to campus health and safety and COVID-19 surround campus housing. In this virtual roundtable discussion, we invite live-in residential life staff to discuss issues and questions related to running a residence hall with social distancing measures, the role of residential life when a campus remains in mostly remote mode, supervising and advising residential student leaders, and the unique experiences of work and life in residence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Description: Residential Life and Housing educators are currently faced with difficult decisions regarding staffing, occupancy, and health and safety. The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic crisis have upended precedents and norms that we may have often taken for granted. However, decisions must still be made. In this panel, we invite HRL leaders to reflect on the values and frameworks that have previously helped them to make difficult decisions from a place of integrity and core values, and consider how they are approaching difficult decisions related to housing and residence life in this unprecedented new environment.
